Abstract :Large-scale space production leads to the fragmentation, atomization and closure of urban space, and the biggest problem—the dismemberment of the social and organic space. Therefore, people can only live in isolated settlements and can’t interact with each other. Based on the experience of Knowledge & Innovation Community Garden in Shanghai, back to the life world and lived world means to return to the world where people can have face-to-face interactions, where children can play together, and where neighbors can share feelings with each other. In short, it means back to a world with human nourishment, personality development and good interpersonal relationships. Under this concept of humanism, the life world theory of classical sociology is consistent with the lived world theory of classical city science. Integration of the two traditions can not only help to find out the problems in today's cities, but also help to look forward to the future of today's cities. Knowledge & Innovation Community Garden in Shanghai is a case of lived world in the posteriorera. It may be too ideal to regard it as a gravitational center of community, children's educational world and cultural world, but the life scene created by it will be the model text of lived world for moving more urban people.
