摘 要：本文简要回顾了历史上以长三角地区为代表的城镇密集地区小城镇的角色作用与发展转型，将经历了乡镇工业化热潮后的小城镇发展划分为两种模式：一类是先发的制造业主导的小城镇，一类是后发的生态特色小城镇。在大都市区化和新消费需求的背景下，后发的生态特色小城镇获得了新的发展机遇。文章以南京市高淳区为例对该类小城镇发展的绿色转型和特色塑造进行了介绍和总结，针对当前生态休闲发展中出现的问题进行了剖析。文章在最后对临近都市的小城镇发展进行了展望，认为面向都市区人群生态休闲空间的建设是城镇密集地区小城镇经济新的增长点。

Abstract ：This paper briefly reviews the traditional role and transformation of the small towns in city-agglomeration areas represented by the Yangtze River Delta in history.There are two development patterns for the small towns after the upsurge of rural industry: one is the manufacture-led model and the other is ecologically-featured model that will emerge later. In the context of metropolitanization and new consumer demand, emerging small towns have gained new opportunities for development. Taking Gaochun as an example, this paper illustrates the ecological transformation of small towns and analyzes the current problems in the development of their ecological leisure. In the end, it further gives an outlook on the development of small towns near urban areas, arguing that the spatial strategy of ecological recreation may be the new economy engine in near future.
